AMHERST CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Amherst Christian Academy (ACA), a ministry of Creekside Assembly of God, will conclude operations effective August 14, 2026, after 50 years of serving children and families through Christian education.

 

The Church Council of Creekside Assembly of God made the decision following a review of enrollment, staffing, finances, and the school’s ability to maintain a stable educational program. Church leadership determined that ACA could not responsibly continue operating beyond the closing date.

 

“This is a deeply difficult moment for our school and church families,” said Rev. Daniel Houck, Interim Pastor of Creekside Assembly of God. “We are profoundly grateful for the teachers, staff, students, parents, alumni, volunteers, church members, and supporters who have invested in Amherst Christian Academy over the past 50 years.

 

”Student records will continue to be maintained by Creekside Assembly of God, and families will have access to records and transfer information as needed. The K-3 Summer Program will continue through September 3, 2026.

 

“While an important chapter in Creekside’s history is ending, we remain grateful for ACA’s lasting impact on generations of students and families,” Houck said. “We honor that legacy of a Christ-centered education and remain committed to serving our community and faithfully carrying out the mission of Creekside Assembly of God.
