Our ACA students are off to a great start this year!! School began on Tuesday September 4th and it was exciting to see familiar faces return and welcome many new friends as well. We are so thankful for these young people and we enjoy getting to know each of them.
Some of the students have already had the opportunity to head out on the Summer Reading Trip to the Buffalo Zoo. It was an excellent way to reward all the hard work that people did during the hot summer months. We are thankful to their parents as well for encouraging them to be diligent in their reading.
There were several other field trips in September. On September 21st, the Upper Center saw a live performance of Mary Poppins at Niagara Falls High School and our Lower Center visited the Clearfield Library.
HOMECOMING!! - Saturday, October 6th at 10:00 am
You do not want to miss this year’s Homecoming Celebration!! The Amherst Christian Academy Panthers are facing off against the Gilead School of Discipleship Warriors for our Homecoming Flag Football game. Some of ACA’s Music students will perform the National Anthem to kick things off. During the game we will have concessions available to purchase including fresh popcorn and cotton candy. All proceeds from those sales will support this year’s mission trip to Philadelphia.
At Half-time we will have our Annual parade!! Any student present is invited to ride on this year’s float. After the parade we would like to invite everyone to join us for a picnic at the Pavilion, we will provide hot dogs (Fresh from the grill!!) and ask each family to bring a dish to share. It should be a wonderful time of fun and fellowship!!
We still need a few volunteers to help our students with the Float Building and Decorating on October 5th during the school day! If you are able to help out please e-mail Miss Sarah Comfort at email@example.com.
Harvest Festival - Saturday, October 27th 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Please mark your calendars for our Annual Harvest Festival!! It’s an awesome night when our school and church partner together to provide food, games and much, much more for our students and community to enjoy.
If you are interested in helping out, we have many opportunities for volunteers at this event. We need help setting up, running games, working in the kitchen and cleaning up after. Many hands working together make this event light work. If you are able to volunteer and have not signed up yet you can e-mail Miss Sarah Comfort at firstname.lastname@example.org.
