STUDENT GOVERNMENT
The Student Government is made up of three elected officers from our High School student body. They are responsible for planning formals, planning an end of the year trip, helping generate the yearbook, suggesting ministry opportunities, and suggesting incentive trips.
In addition, the student government is responsible for fundraising to help make these events possible. The three Student Government positions include President, Treasurer, and Yearbook Editor.
Christian Service
Amherst Christian Academy encourages its students to exercise their faith through participating in Christian Service Projects. It is our hope at ACA that through these service opportunities students will develop as servant-leaders and demonstrate their faith as followers of Christ.
-
Students in grades 9-12 complete twenty hours of Christian service each year. Christian service includes assisting in any ministry of a church - worship team, lead a Sunday School class, help with a children’s ministry, lead a Bible study or assist the youth pastor.
-
Each month ACA learning centers plan a ministry fieldtrip lead by the learning center teacher. This fieldtrip involves a service project.
-
ACA plans two community service days, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. On these days all ACA students are involved in a service project to help their community.
Twice a year Amherst Christian Academy students and staff stop what they are doing to serve and help our local community. In the fall we spend the day raking leaves. Our youngest students will stay close to the school and help clean up the grounds. Our older students will serve our neighbors by raking leaves. In the Spring we all spend a day helping outside in the flower beds and preparing the grounds for Summer.
Help the school earn extra money by using techniques you already use. These things only take a minute to do so please continue reading to find out how.
